Planting Potatoes

The Grade 4's had an amazing time planting potatoes in the Veggie garden at the school.

We brought all of our old potatoes that had been growing a little bit old in our homes, these potatoes had started to sprout roots so we decided to help them along.

We continued to plant them in compost and recycled tires to make the "pots".

P.E Term 3

We are focusing on movement in this term.

And what better way to do it then mixing movement, dance and a little bit of gymnastics?

Mrs. Teixeira taught the children how to use the ribbons and gave them instructions for the dance.

The children were divided into groups and then left to come up with their own routines.

Plays on Bullying

During the last few weeks of term we started looking at bullying.

We had discussions with the children about what they think about bullying and the results were quite uplifting.

Then we gave them scripts which had a scenario of bullying that could happen quite often, and the two different ways to deal with the bullying.

We had them practice these plays and had them act it out.
